Breathtaking by day and dramatic by night, the Portrait Restaurant's celebrated view stretches from Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square down Whitehall to the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.

Portrait Restaurant opening hours
Brunch: Monday-Sunday, 10:00-11:30
Lunch: Monday-Sunday, 11:45-15:00
Afternoon Tea: Monday-Sunday, 15:30-16:30
Pre Theatre: Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings, 17:30-18:30 2 courses - £19.95 per person or 3 courses - £23.50 per person
Dinner: Thursday, Friday & Saturday 18:30 - 20:00 (last order 20.30 and building closure time 22.30)
Dinner on Saturdays, and from June 2018 dinner on Thursdays
Please be advised that reservations for Thursday and Saturday evenings can only be made 6 weeks in advance. Entrance to The Portrait Restaurant on Thursday (from June 2018) & Saturday evenings after 18:00 would be via Orange Street (see map).

Looking for a special afternoon tea venue? At Portrait Restaurant, where afternoon tea is served daily, you can relax and enjoy an unparalleled view including Nelson in Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye, a cheering situation whatever the weather.
Our set tea features a generous range of savouries, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream, and seasonally changing fancies crafted by our pastry chefs. Spring’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ tea pays tribute to Lewis Carroll’s work with Alice Liddell, featured in Victorian Giants: the Birth of Art Photography. Enjoy Queen of Hearts jammie dodgers, rhubarb and custard eclairs, chocolate and pistachio pinwheels and more. An excellent choice of tipples is available for those in a particularly celebratory mood.
Just a cuppa?
The Portrait Café, is on Floor -3, is a cosy sky-lit spot for light meals and scrumptious cakes, fine teas and hand-roasted coffees. Treat yourself to our famous shortbread or round brownies, perfect with an espresso or cup of tea before heading home.
